WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT

When you first visit our practice, you will be greeted by our front-desk staff. They will check you in and ensure that we have all the required patient forms on file for you prior to your appointment. Then, you will be asked to sit in our comfortable waiting room while we are preparing a room for you. Once your room has been thoroughly sterilized and all of our equipment is set up for you, we will call you back to one of our exam rooms.

In the exam room, one of our skilled hygienists will perform a thorough dental cleaning, removing any plaque or tartar residue from your gum line. During the dental cleaning, your hygienists may suggest alterations to your oral hygiene routine if they notice any excess buildup in certain spots of your smile. This is a great time to ask any questions you may have about caring for your smile at home.

Following the dental cleaning, Dr. Hudgens will perform a thorough dental exam. During the exam, he will check on the current health of your teeth, gums, and jawbone. Any dental concerns noted during your exam will be discussed with you to ensure you are informed about your treatment options. Please feel free to ask questions about any treatment options that we present to you. In addition to the personalized care that we provide, we believe that a well-informed patient is a key to long-term oral health and wellness.

If at any point you have questions or concerns during your appointment, let one of our team members know. We look forward to seeing you soon!
